I absolutely love listening to electronic music, and I always wanted to produce my own. Unfortunately, the learning curve is steep, and I had to spend many hours to make the tracks below. I'm glad I made them, but it wasn't a very fun process. I hope that someday I can get good enough at music production to enjoy the process. Until then, I'm at least happy to have these tracks, which I made with Ableton Live.
Spaceship Blue
Sherlock
Sirens
Singing is the form of art most connected to my soul. Below is a collection of cover songs I made when I was working at BARS+TONE, a video production and editing company. We had a sound isolation booth and a nice microphone that were perfect for recording music. By using high-quality karaoke tracks instead of recording the music music from scratch, I was able to focus on the vocals, which was what I cared about. This allowed me to produce a song with 4-6 hours of effort, which is a fraction of the time it would have taken. I had the pleasure of recording my dear friend Ryan on a couple of the tracks, and also my wife Kerry!
Halleluja (featuring Ryan Cook)
Feeling Good
Rainbow Connection (featuring Kerry Smithyman)
Fly Me to the Moon
I'm Only Sleeping
Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Falling Slowly (featuring Ryan Cook)
Summer Love
Superstition
Perfect
This was recorded much later when my cousin Jesse got married to his sweetheart Melissa. It has a video slideshow of them together, which I also made. I'm surprised the vocals came out as good as they did, given that I recorded it in my room with no sound treatment. A good mic and reverb can go a long way!
